Marc A. Valdivia is an attorney with Patti, Hewitt & Arezina LLC where he focuses his practice primarily in the area of intellectual property law. His technical fields of experience include wireless systems, telecommunications systems, electronics, computers, and software.
Mr. Valdivia previously worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at PrairieComm Inc. where he designed and developed software for UMTS mobile handsets. He also worked at Lucent Technologies as a Member of Technical Staff where he developed software for telecommunications products ranging from telephone switches to intelligent nodes in an IP network. Mr. Valdivia also worked at Motorola Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer where he designed and developed software for various components of wireless telecommunications networks.
Mr. Valdivia received his J.D. from Chicago Kent Law School in 2007. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 1990. Mr. Valdivia also received an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1996. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
